Thank you for your interest in Nova Toastmasters Club 5507 and welcome to our club's web site! Our next meeting is on Wednesday, May 23, 2012. I enthusiastically invite you to attend!

Today our world is facing an extremely severe economic calamity. Unemployment has exploded. While there are fewer lay-offs now, it's mach harder to land a good job. In any economic boom, it typically takes three interviews to land a job. According to The Career News, you may now need to sit through seventeen interviews before a job is offered. Yet most applicants lack both the knowledge and preparation needed for their interview once they get one!

How confident do you feel? Can you stand in front of an audience or sit in an interview, give a talk, and make the right impression? You might spend hours creating your cover letter and résumé, searching for prospective employers, and hunting for job openings. However, if you blow that interview, you may have wasted much of your valuable time!

This is where membership in our Toastmasters Club fits in, and here is what you will learn as a member.

• Generate a record of success giving prepared and extemporaneous talks in front a positive, friendly, and supportive group of club members.

• Be able to ask and answer intelligent questions - even without preparation.

• Gain vital skills such as organization, correct word selection, and effective delivery techniques.

• Become a more effective communicator while building your leadership potential.

Whether you desire professional or personal development, membership in our Nova Toastmasters Club could be right for you if you are ambitious and dissatisfied. Our members work to help each other achieve our full potential.
